Situated in the heart of one of London’s most affluent prime residential regions, Kensington, this 6000 sq ft townhouse property exudes excellence and displays the kind of meticulous attention to detail and ultra luxury design philosophy one would expect with one of the city’s leading Interior Designers, Laura Hammett.

The team at Laura Hammett were commissioned to provide a full refurbishment of this family home and provided bespoke lighting in keeping with their ethos; ensuring that their clients’ needs are realised with unwavering creative expression and with the very finest quality assured. To ensure this aim is met on all commissions, they select specialist manufacturers who share these aims, such as Dernier Hamlyn.

Dernier & Hamlyn is one of the few companies that can make lighting to such a high quality to meet demanding briefs so was the natural choice for this commission. The design intent for this beautiful home called for particularly luxurious light fittings for the sitting room, basement hallway and library. Laura Hammett and Dernier & Hamlyn’s teams worked closely together to turn the designers’ ideas and specifications into reality by using its craftsmen’s skills to hand turn solid brass and finish it in bronze to produce bespoke ceiling pendants and wall lights.

Upon completion of the project Laura Hammett said: “We and our client are delighted with the lighting for this beautiful home which was achieved by taking the time to understand our aims and to deliver to meet our objectives.”
